This hiking route takes you to the beautiful area of Roquo d'Astié along the Route du Pic de Nore. The trail is an out-and-back type with a total distance of 3.528 kilometers and an elevation gain of 186 meters, making it an easy hike suitable for all skill levels.
As you start your journey, you'll come across a convenient parking area right at the beginning of the trail. About 40 meters from the start, you'll find the Le Petit Pradellois restaurant where you can grab a meal or a snack before continuing on your hike.
Along the way, you'll encounter several rock formations that add to the scenic beauty of the area. These natural landmarks, such as rock outcrops, are scattered throughout the trail, with some located as far as 1.76 kilometers from the start. Be sure to take some time to appreciate these unique geological features.
Midway through the hike, at approximately 1.76 kilometers from the start, you'll find the Roquo d'Astié viewpoint and peak. This is a great spot to take a break and admire the panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.
For your convenience, there are drinking water sources located along the trail, with one about 20 meters from the start and another one about 70 meters from the start. Additionally, there are benches and a wayside cross along the trail for resting and reflection.
