This challenging hiking route takes you on a 7.074-kilometer journey with an elevation gain of 564 meters, lasting approximately 3 hours and 2 minutes. The Ferrata degli Alpini trail offers stunning views and a variety of points of interest along the way.
Starting at the trailhead, you will pass by the serene Laghetti di Montozzo, located 3.41 kilometers from the beginning of the trail. This beautiful spot is perfect for a rest or quick photo stop. As you continue, you will come across the historic ruins scattered throughout the route, such as the ruins located 3.51 kilometers from the start.
Midway through the hike, at around 3.54 kilometers from the start, you will reach Rifugio Angelino Bozzi, an alpine hut where you can take a break, refuel, and enjoy the rustic ambiance. Nearby, you'll also find the picturesque picnic site Pra del Rum, perfect for a leisurely lunch.
Don't forget to hydrate along the way. There are several drinking water points and BBQ spots available for your convenience. Additionally, make sure to check weather conditions before embarking on this adventure, as the terrain can be rugged and challenging.
