This hiking route takes you through a beautiful area with diverse points of interest along the way. The trail is an out-and-back type, leading you to the destination of Peña del Águila.
Starting off, you will pass by Venta Marcelino, a restaurant located just 0.01 kilometers from the trail. It's a great spot to grab a bite to eat before or after your hike. Further along, at 0.05 kilometers from the start, you'll come across Casa del Parque, an information center that provides insights into the local area.
As you continue on the trail, you'll encounter Mirador de Lucio, a viewpoint and shelter, just 0.05 kilometers from the start. This offers a great vantage point to take in the surrounding scenery. Fuente Bernaldo Quirós, a spring with drinking water, is also nearby at 0.09 kilometers from the start, providing a refreshing stop for hikers.
One of the highlights of the hike is reaching the peak of Peña del Águila, which is 2.74 kilometers from the start. The panoramic views from the top make the effort worthwhile. Along the way, you'll also pass by Puerto de Cotos, a saddle point, just 0.12 kilometers from the start.
This route covers a distance of 5.479 kilometers with an elevation gain of 153 meters, making it of moderate difficulty.
