This challenging 8.5-kilometer circular hiking route will lead you through the breathtaking area surrounding Forte Vezzena and the Cima Vezzena peak. The hike boasts an elevation gain of 456 meters and is expected to take around 3 hours to complete.
Starting at the Forte Busa di Verle, a historic fort located approximately 1 kilometer from the trailhead, hikers will follow the trail towards Forte Vezzena, another historic fort situated 3.5 kilometers into the hike. Along the way, you will encounter several viewpoints offering stunning panoramic vistas of the surrounding landscape. Be sure to take a moment to appreciate the beauty of Passo Vezzena, a natural saddle located near the trail.
For a quick break and refreshments, stop by Bar Ristorante Baita al Verle, a restaurant located just 50 meters from the trail at the 0.05-kilometer mark. Additionally, informative signposts can be found at various points along the trail, providing insight into the area's history and natural features.
As you approach the midpoint of the hike, you will reach Cima Vezzena, a natural peak with an elevation of 3.52 kilometers. From here, the trail leads back towards the starting point, passing by more viewpoints and informational stops.
