This hiking route takes you through the beautiful area surrounding Spreading Basin 14. The trail is a circular path with a total distance of 4.792 kilometers and no elevation gain, making it an easy hike suitable for all skill levels.
As you start your journey, you will come across the Oak Grove (Lower) Parking Lot, which is conveniently located at the beginning of the trail. Along the way, you will pass by several water features, such as Spreading Basins 10, 9, 8, 13, 7, 6, and 14. These basins offer serene views and a chance to spot local wildlife.
Midway through the hike, you will find parking areas for those driving to the trail, including JPL Building 349 (Parking Structure B). It is important to bring an adequate amount of water, as the trail does not have significant elevation gain but can still be dehydrating.
