This challenging hiking route will take you to the stunning Schönberg area. The trail covers a distance of 9.805 kilometers with an elevation gain of 869 meters, making it a difficult yet rewarding trek.

Starting at the parking area near Salzbach, you will begin your journey through beautiful landscapes. As you make your way along the trail, you will come across various points of interest. About 4.32 kilometers into the hike, you will find the Rotmoosalm, a restaurant and alpine hut where you can take a break and enjoy some refreshments.

Continuing on, at 4.9 kilometers, you will pass by the Niderle bench. This is a great spot to rest and take in the surrounding nature. Further along the trail, at 1.9 kilometers, you will come across an information point with valuable insights about the area.

At around the midway point, you will find drinking water facilities and several benches for resting and enjoying the scenery. As you near the end of the trail, about 4.9 kilometers in, you will reach the peak of Schönberg, offering breathtaking panoramic views.

Throughout the hike, it is advisable to carry an ample water supply and check the weather forecast beforehand. The duration of the hike is estimated to be around 4 hours and 26 minutes.
