The Route des Champs is a picturesque hiking trail with a total distance of approximately 3.006 kilometers and an elevation gain of 79.0 meters. This easy-level hike is perfect for all skill levels and offers a variety of points of interest along the way.
Starting at the trailhead, hikers will first come across a convenient parking area. From there, the trail continues towards the Atterrissage FFVL Arache, a free-flying site located about 0.67 kilometers from the start. This spot offers a great opportunity to observe free-flying enthusiasts in action.
As you continue on the route, you'll pass by a wayside cross and a viewpoint that provides stunning panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. Around the midway point, there is a refreshing fountain where you can rest and refill your water bottle.
Along the trail, you'll also encounter several information points such as Mussillon, Arâches d'en Haut, and Les Champs, each offering insights into the local history and nature. Additionally, benches are placed at intervals along the route, providing hikers with a place to take a break and enjoy the scenery.
At the endpoint of the circular trail, hikers will reach a communal area known as Communal du Mont Favy, where they can further appreciate the natural surroundings before heading back towards the starting point.
