Welcome to the hiking route to Mirador 2 in Samaipata!

Samaipata is a beautiful area known for its archaeological sites and stunning natural landscapes. This route is a super easy out-and-back trail with a total distance of 1.011 kilometers and an elevation gain of 33 meters, making it suitable for hikers of all levels.

As you start your hike, you'll pass by Centro Político, an archaeological site located 0.51 kilometers from the trailhead. Further along the trail at 0.3 kilometers, you'll come across El Peñón de Samaipata, a rock formation and attraction with historical significance.

Along the way, you'll also encounter Kallanka, an archaeological site at 0.48 kilometers from the start, and several other archaeological sites and viewpoints. Be sure to check out Muro Inca and the ruins nearby as you make your way to Mirador 2.

Throughout the hike, you'll find shelters and information points to rest and learn more about the area's history. Don't forget to bring plenty of water, wear sturdy hiking shoes, and check the weather forecast before embarking on this adventure.
