This hiking route will take you through the beautiful area surrounding Welser Hütte. The trail is an out-and-back type, starting at an elevation of 720 meters and reaching an elevation of 1722 meters at Welser Hütte.

As you set off on your journey, you will come across a parking area right at the beginning of the trail. Make sure to park your vehicle here before starting the hike.

Approximately 6 kilometers into the hike, you will reach the Almtalerhaus, a restaurant and alpine hut where you can take a break, enjoy a meal, and take in the scenic views. The Almtalerhaus is open from May 1st to September 15th and offers various amenities for hikers.

Continuing on, after about 6 kilometers from the Almtalerhaus, you will find the Welser Hütte. This alpine hut is another great resting spot where you can relax and rejuvenate before making your way back. The Welser Hütte is open from May 30th to September 15th and provides accommodation options for those looking to extend their hike.

Along the trail, you will also come across a drinking water station, a spring for refilling your water bottles, an informational point named Hans-Pumberger-Band, and a memorial site.

This hike covers a distance of 13.178 kilometers with an elevation gain of 984 meters, making it of moderate difficulty. Make sure to bring plenty of water, snacks, and proper hiking gear.
