Welcome to the hiking route to Cime de Montjoia! This extremely difficult 14.6 km circular trail with an elevation gain of 941 meters will take you on an epic journey through the stunning landscapes surrounding the peak.

Starting at the parking area at the trailhead, you will make your way through rugged terrain and dense forests. Along the way, you will come across a boundary stone at around 5.2 km from the start, a historic landmark that adds a touch of heritage to your adventure.

As you continue your ascent, you will reach the peak of Cime de la Valette de Prals at approximately 5.1 km from the trailhead, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding mountains. This is a great spot to take a break and soak in the beauty of the area.

Further along the trail, at about 4.3 km from the start, you will encounter the Baisse de Prals, a saddle in the natural landscape that provides a unique vantage point of the valley below.

Throughout the hike, you will also come across several information points, benches, and wayside crosses that offer insights into the flora, fauna, and history of the region. These spots are perfect for taking a breather and learning more about the environment you are exploring.

As you approach the peak of Cime de Montjoia at around 7.04 km from the start, be prepared for a challenging yet rewarding final push to reach the summit. Once there, you will be rewarded with unparalleled views that make the entire trek worth it.
