This hiking route takes you through the beautiful area of Vereda del Refugio del Rey. The 7.768-kilometer trail offers stunning views and a challenging terrain with an elevation gain of 459 meters, making it a difficult but rewarding hike.
Starting at La Plataforma, you can find parking facilities right at the beginning of the trail. As you make your way along the path, you will come across a shelter about 0.19 kilometers from the start, providing a place to rest and take in the surroundings. Just a bit further, at 0.21 kilometers, there is a biergarten where you can grab a snack and refuel for the journey ahead.
One of the main attractions along the trail is La Plataforma de Gredos, located 0.19 kilometers from the start. This scenic spot is perfect for taking a break and enjoying the views. As you continue, you'll come across the Risco del Faccioso peak, although it's located off the trail, about 0.58 kilometers away. Another peak, located 2.57 kilometers from the start, offers a different perspective of the surroundings.
Further along the route, you'll encounter a saddle at 0.58 kilometers from the start, providing a unique vantage point of the landscape. Finally, at 3.88 kilometers, there is another peak where you can marvel at the panoramic views before turning back.
