This challenging out-and-back hiking route will take you to Cuento Alto, offering stunning views and a variety of points of interest along the way. The trail spans a distance of 8.375 kilometers with an elevation gain of 485 meters, making it a difficult hike that will take around 3 hours and 9 minutes to complete.

Starting at La Plataforma, you will find a convenient parking area to leave your vehicle before embarking on your journey. About 1.73 kilometers into the hike, you will come across a water source at a distance of 64.39 meters from the trail, providing a perfect opportunity to refill your water bottle.

As you continue on, at approximately 0.19 kilometers into the hike, you will find a shelter where you can take a break and enjoy a rest. Just a bit further at 0.21 kilometers, there is a biergarten where you can refuel with some sustenance before continuing on your adventure.

Midway through the hike, at 4.19 kilometers, you will reach the peak of Cuento Alto, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding area. Here, you can take a moment to soak in the beauty of the landscape before heading back.

On your way back, around 3.29 kilometers into the hike, you will pass by Fuente de los Cavadores, a natural spring where you can replenish your water supply. Additionally, at 0.58 kilometers, you will encounter Risco del Faccioso, another peak offering impressive views.

While the hike presents a significant challenge due to its length and elevation gain, the breathtaking scenery and points of interest along the way make it a rewarding adventure for experienced hikers.
