Welcome to the hiking route to Rifugio Fantoli! This moderate difficulty out-and-back trail spans approximately 4.6 kilometers with an elevation gain of 291 meters, taking around 1 hour and 47 minutes to complete.
The trail starts at a convenient parking area at Alpe Ruspesso. As you begin your journey, you will come across the Cappella di Erfo, a historic wayside shrine situated just 0.01 kilometers from the start. Further along the trail at 1.21 kilometers, you will find the picturesque Cappella Roccolo, another historic shrine.
Around the midway point of the hike at 1.56 kilometers, a drinking water fountain awaits to quench your thirst. Continuing on, at 1.72 kilometers, you will encounter a lovely fountain where you can take a break and enjoy the surroundings.
At the 2.25-kilometer mark, another drinking water stop is available to refill your bottles. As you approach the Rifugio Fantoli at 2.3 kilometers, an alpine hut where you can rest and enjoy the stunning views, you'll pass by an informative sign to learn more about the area.
On the way back, make sure to stop by the picnic site at 0.93 kilometers and enjoy a peaceful meal in nature. Remember to bring enough water, as well as snacks, sunscreen, and a first aid kit. It's also a good idea to check the weather forecast before embarking on this adventure.
