This extremely difficult hike covers a distance of 15.849 kilometers with an elevation gain of 911 meters, taking approximately 5 hours and 56 minutes to complete. The route type is an out-and-back trail, leading to the destination known as Hesshütte.
The hike begins at a designated parking area where you can leave your vehicle before embarking on the trek. Along the trail, you will come across several points of interest:
- At the beginning of the hike, after walking 0.03 kilometers, you will find another parking area with no fees.
- As you continue, at 2.26 kilometers into the hike, there is a natural water source located just 41.8 meters off the trail.
- Around 3.36 kilometers into the hike, you will find Wolfbauer Wasserfall, a beautiful waterfall worth exploring.
- Further along the trail, at 3.68 kilometers, there is a natural spring nearby.
- Midway through the hike, at 5.68 kilometers, you will come across a bench where you can take a break and enjoy the surroundings.
- Continuing on, at 7.25 kilometers, you will find another natural spring named Gamsbrunn offering drinking water.
- On the last stretch of the hike, at 7.92 kilometers, you will reach Hesshütte, an alpine hut where you can rest and refuel before heading back.
