This hiking route takes you through a beautiful area known for its natural springs and cave entrances. The trail is 5.784 kilometers long with an elevation gain of 287 meters, making it a moderate difficulty hike.
You will start your journey at the parking area, located at the beginning of the trail. As you make your way along the path, you will come across several natural springs such as Fontana and Fontanon, where you can stop to rest and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. These springs are located at various points along the route, with Fontana being 0.99 kilometers from the start and Fontanon at 0.77 kilometers.
Midway through your hike, you will encounter the informative site Contrada Scandole, which provides insight into the area's history. This site is located at 0.99 kilometers from the start. As you continue on, you will also pass by cave entrances such as Grotta di Contrada Scandole and Buso Scandole, providing a glimpse into the underground world.
Towards the end of the trail, you will reach the main attraction, Buco 1° di Ausele, a significant cave entrance located at 2.82 kilometers from the start. This is a must-see spot before you head back along the trail to complete the out-and-back route.
