This challenging 8.6-kilometer circular hiking route around Malga Masetto offers stunning views and unique points of interest. Starting at the parking lot, the trail immediately immerses you in nature as you follow the path towards the first point of interest, Fontana spring. This refreshing natural spring is located just under a kilometer from the start, providing a nice spot to take a break and refill your water bottle.
Continuing on, you will encounter the information point at Contrada Scandole around the 1-kilometer mark, where you can learn more about the area's history and geography. As you trek further, you will pass by Fontanon spring at the 0.77-kilometer mark, adding to the tranquil ambiance of the hike.
Around the 2.5-kilometer mark, you will reach Buco 1° di Ausele cave entrance and Buco 2° di Ausele cave entrance, offering a fascinating opportunity to explore the underground world. Make sure to bring a flashlight if you plan on venturing into these caves.
The trail then leads you to Grotta di Contrada Scandole cave entrance and Buso Scandole cave entrance at the 0.59-kilometer mark, providing even more geological wonders to admire.
