This hiking route takes you through the beautiful area of Via Porticina in Italy. The trail is an out-and-back type, so you will be retracing your steps on the way back.
Starting at the trailhead, you will pass by a parking area within the first few meters. As you continue on, you will come across a couple of drinking water points that provide a refreshing stop for hikers. There is also a viewpoint, Mura Antiche di Norma, where you can take in stunning sights of the surrounding landscape.
Further along the trail, you will reach Placche Rosse, a climbing spot located off the main trail. For those interested in climbing, this is a great opportunity to explore this area. As you approach the midway point, you will find Rave di Norma, another climbing site that is closer to the trail.
Throughout the hike, there are several benches scattered along the trail where you can take a rest and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. At the end of the trail, you will reach Colle Gentile, a peak that offers panoramic views of the area.
With a total distance of 6.43 kilometers and an elevation gain of 258 meters, this hike is of moderate difficulty.
