This hiking route takes you through a beautiful area with stunning views and challenging terrain. The trail is an out-and-back type, with a total distance of 8.164 kilometers and an elevation gain of 836 meters, making it a difficult hike that will take around 4 hours to complete.
Starting from the parking area at the trailhead, you will begin your journey towards Lago Pasci. Along the way, you will pass by several points of interest. About 3.24 kilometers into the hike, you will come across Rifugio Mombarone, an alpine hut where you can rest and refuel. Further along the trail, at around 3.48 kilometers, you will reach Colle della Bocchetta, a saddle offering panoramic views of the surrounding mountains.
As you continue on, you will pass by Bivacco Pier Giorgio Frassati, a shelter located 3.24 kilometers from the start, and Bivacco Adriano Cosa, a shelter closer to the end of the trail. You will also encounter points of interest such as Monte Cavalgrosso, a peak located 3.5 kilometers from the start, and Statua del Redentore, a historic monument 3.24 kilometers from the beginning of the hike.
Midway through the hike, at around 4.08 kilometers, you will reach Lago Pasci, a picturesque water body where you can enjoy a break and take in the scenery.
