This hiking route will take you through the stunning landscape around Peña Negra. The trail is a circular route with a total distance of 10.601 kilometers and an elevation gain of 674 meters, making it a difficult but rewarding hike.
As you start your journey, you will come across "Área Recreativa Las Malezas" picnic site, located just 0.17 kilometers from the beginning of the trail. This is a great spot to take a break and enjoy some snacks while taking in the beautiful surroundings.
Further along the trail, at 3.23 kilometers from the start, you will find a refreshing spring called "Regajo." This is a perfect place to refill your water bottles and rest before continuing your ascent towards the peak.
At the midway point of the hike, you will reach "Fuente Garcilla," another spring where you can replenish your water supply and cool off before tackling the remaining part of the trail.
As you approach the end of the hike, you will encounter the majestic peak of Peña Negra at 5.13 kilometers from the start. From here, you can enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding countryside as a reward for your efforts.
