Located in the Jura Mountains, this extremely difficult 12.276-kilometer out-and-back hiking route will take you to the stunning Belvédère de Rupt.

Starting at the trailhead, you will pass by the Caborne de Menouille cave entrance about 1 kilometer into the hike. As you continue, you will come across a drinking water station at around 1.79 kilometers from the start, providing a refreshing break along the way.

Midway through the hike, you will reach the Barrage de Vouglans Ouest information point, offering insights into the local area. Make sure to stop by La Sablonnière and Rupt information points further along the trail to learn more about the surroundings.

At the end of the route, the Belvédère de Rupt viewpoint awaits, offering a breathtaking panoramic view of the landscape. Be sure to bring plenty of water, as this challenging hike includes an elevation gain of 253 meters. It is important to check the weather forecast before embarking on this adventure.
