This hiking route takes you through the beautiful area surrounding Poggio Palazzone. The trail is 7.006 kilometers long with an elevation gain of 311 meters, making it a difficult but rewarding hike.
Along the way, you will come across several points of interest. At the beginning of the trail, there is a picnic site called Salto del Lupo, perfect for a rest stop or enjoying a meal in nature. About 2.4 kilometers into the hike, you will find the ruins of Galloro, offering a glimpse into the area's historic past. Nearby, Poggio Galloro, a natural peak, provides stunning views of the surrounding landscape.
As you continue on, at around 3.5 kilometers into the hike, you will reach another peak called Poggio Palazzone. This is the destination of the hike and offers panoramic views that make the challenging trek worth it.
