This hiking route takes you through the beautiful area surrounding Sentier de la Charvaz. The trail is 7.66 kilometers long with an elevation gain of 532 meters, making it a difficult but rewarding hike. It is estimated to take approximately 3 hours and 6 minutes to complete.
As you start your hike, you will come across the Belvédère d'Ontex Grumeau viewpoint, offering stunning views of the surroundings. Further along the trail, you will pass by Chez Nadine, where you can stop for a quick bite to eat.
Midway through the hike, you will reach Belvédère de la Charvaz, another viewpoint that provides a breathtaking panorama of the area. Nearby, you will also find Mont Charvaz, a peak that offers a challenging but worthwhile ascent.
As you continue on, make sure to take a moment at Col de la Charvaz, a picturesque saddle along the trail. Along the way, you will also encounter various information points such as Sous la Charvaz, La Bouli, and L'Arcelet, providing insights into the surroundings.
For a unique experience, consider visiting Grottes du Communal, cave entrances that are slightly off the trail but worth the detour. Additionally, Point de vue « des Tables » offers another scenic spot to take in the beauty of the area.
