This hiking route takes you to the beautiful Mont Charvaz area, offering stunning views and challenging terrain. The route is an out-and-back type, with a total distance of 6.495 kilometers and an elevation gain of 532 meters, making it a difficult hike that will take approximately 2 hours and 50 minutes to complete.
Starting at the parking area, you will begin your journey towards Mont Charvaz. Along the way, you will pass by several points of interest, including the Belvédère d'Ontex Grumeau viewpoint and Chez Nadine fast food spot, both located at the beginning of the trail. As you continue onwards, you will reach the Belvédère de la Charvaz viewpoint, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding area.
Midway through the hike, you will encounter Mont Charvaz itself, a peak that offers a challenging yet rewarding climb. Nearby, you will also find the Col de la Charvaz saddle, providing a picturesque resting spot with informative signs at Sous la Charvaz.
On the way back, be sure to stop by the Point de vue « des Tables » viewpoint and L'Arcelet information point for more insights into the area. Additionally, you can rest at the benches scattered along the trail, such as the ones located at Grumeau and Les Ordières.
