This extremely difficult 17.451-kilometer circular hiking route will take you to the stunning Tête de la Clappe area. The trail has an elevation gain of 1136 meters, so be prepared for a challenging adventure.
As you start your hike, you will pass by various points of interest. At the beginning of the trail, you will find a parking space followed by a water source approximately 2.63 kilometers into the hike. Along the way, you will come across Parking de la Poste, a fountain named La boule, and a restaurant called Chez Nadège, where you can refuel and take a break.
As you continue on the trail, you will encounter historic ruins and another fountain. Midway through the hike, you will reach the Tour en ruine du chateau, offering an intriguing glimpse into the area's history. A viewpoint with a spectacular panorama is located approximately 0.42 kilometers from the start, providing a perfect spot to take in the surroundings.
Towards the end of the hike, you will reach the highlight of the route, Tête de la Clappe, a peak with breathtaking views. Close to the peak, you will find a bench to rest and take in the scenery, as well as information about the area.
