This extremely difficult 15.666 km out-and-back hiking route will take you to the stunning Cascata Troncone in a beautiful area surrounded by natural wonders. The trail starts at a parking area and slowly ascends through the picturesque landscape.

As you begin your journey, you will pass by Fontana Piazza and Vecchia Fontana, which are perfect spots to rest and take in the scenery. Further along the trail, you will come across the charming restaurant Zia Carmela, where you can refuel and recharge for the rest of your hike.

The highlight of the hike is the breathtaking Cascata Troncone, a magnificent waterfall located at around 7.83 km from the start. You can marvel at the cascading waters and take in the beauty of the natural surroundings.

On your way back, you can stop by Sorgente Troncone cascata, a refreshing spring located on the trail. Additionally, you will pass by Grotta IV, Grotta III, and Grotta II, fascinating cave entrances that add a sense of adventure to your hike.

Due to the length of the trail and the 242.0 meters of elevation gain, this hike is considered extremely difficult. Make sure to bring plenty of water, wear sturdy hiking shoes, and check the weather forecast before embarking on this challenging adventure.
