Welcome to the Hohlesteinstraße hiking route! This moderate 6.718-kilometer out-and-back trail offers a wonderful opportunity to explore the natural beauty of the area while experiencing an elevation gain of 430 meters.

The trail starts at the parking area P4, where you can leave your vehicle before setting off on your adventure. As you begin your hike, you will come across information points such as Rod and Gernstäffele, providing you with interesting insights into the surroundings. Around 1.58 kilometers into the hike, you'll find Rod, offering you a chance to learn more about the area's history.

As you continue on the trail, you will encounter various points of interest, including the peak Hohe Schaar at around 3.33 kilometers, although it's slightly off the trail. Make sure to stop by the Läger-Hütte shelter at 1.94 kilometers if you need a rest. Additionally, benches and drinking water facilities are available at different points along the trail, providing you with places to relax and hydrate.

As you reach the midway point of the hike, you'll be able to enjoy stunning viewpoints at Hohle Eiche and Wetzsteinbrunnen (westlich) around 2.8 kilometers into the trail. The route also features historic boundary stones and natural rock formations, adding to the charm of the surroundings.
