Welcome to the hiking route to Port de Baiau!
Located in a stunning natural setting, this challenging 9.44-kilometer trail offers breathtaking views and an elevation gain of 1248 meters, making it extremely difficult but rewarding for experienced hikers. Before embarking on this adventure, make sure to pack plenty of water, snacks, and check the weather forecast as conditions can change quickly in the mountains.
As you start the hike, you'll pass by a beautiful waterfall about 0.61 kilometers from the trailhead. Further along, at 2.45 kilometers from the start, you'll encounter a serene water feature, perfect for a rest stop. If you need accommodation, the Refugi del Pla de l'Estany wilderness hut is located 2.65 kilometers from the beginning of the trail.
At the midway point, you'll find the Pampa restaurant, a great spot to refuel and recharge for the second half of the hike. As you continue towards Port de Baiau, you'll come across informative signposts and picnic sites to enhance your hiking experience.
Finally, at 4.72 kilometers from the start, you'll reach the peak of Port de Baiau, offering panoramic views of the surrounding area. Take your time to soak in the natural beauty before retracing your steps back to the trailhead.
