This hiking route will take you to the beautiful area of Monte Caucaso, offering stunning views and a challenging trek. The route is an out-and-back trail with a total distance of 7.006 kilometers and an elevation gain of 211 meters, making it a difficult hike that will take approximately 2 hours and 8 minutes to complete.
As you start your journey, you will come across the Passo Larnaia, located 0.34 kilometers from the trail but offering a natural saddle that is worth a visit. Further along the trail, at 0.84 kilometers from the start, you will find Fonte Aveto, a drinking water source to refill your water bottles.
Midway through the hike, at 1.1 kilometers from the start, you will encounter a historic memorial named 13 agosto 1944, providing a glimpse into the area's past. Continuing on, at 3.5 kilometers from the start, you will reach the Monte Caucaso peak, offering panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.
Towards the end of the trail, at 3.5 kilometers from the start, you will find Rifugio Monte Caucaso, an alpine hut where you can rest and enjoy some refreshments. Finally, as you make your way back, you will pass by Passo di Stre Biurche, located 2.25 kilometers from the start, providing another natural saddle to admire.
