Welcome to the hiking route to Grafmartalm! This challenging 9.949-kilometer out-and-back trail offers stunning views and a variety of points of interest along the way.
Starting at the parking area, you will begin your ascent through the beautiful alpine terrain. About 1.38 kilometers from the start, you'll come across Peeralm, a cozy restaurant and alpine hut where you can take a break and enjoy some local cuisine.
Continuing on, at around 0.78 kilometers from the start, you'll spot a historic wayside cross. This is a great opportunity to learn about the area's cultural heritage. Further along the trail, at 4.42 kilometers from the beginning, you'll encounter a striking rock formation, adding to the scenic beauty of the hike.
As you approach the midway point, at 2.85 kilometers from the start, you'll reach Zehenteralm, another alpine hut where you can rest and recharge before heading back. Just a bit further, at 1.84 kilometers from the trailhead, you'll find a drinking water station to refill your water bottles.
Throughout the hike, you'll also come across various benches and information points where you can relax and learn more about the surroundings. Remember to bring plenty of water, snacks, and wear sturdy hiking shoes. Due to the length of the trail and the 677.0 meters of elevation gain, this hike is considered difficult, so make sure to be prepared and check the weather forecast before setting out.
