This hiking route will take you to the Rieserfernerhütte - Rifugio Vedrette di Ries in the Mühlbach Gais area. The trail is an out-and-back type, with a total distance of 12.454 kilometers and an elevation gain of 1509 meters, making it extremely difficult.

As you start your hike, you will come across a parking area near the trailhead. This is a good spot to leave your vehicle before beginning the journey. Along the way, you will pass by the Gänsebichlsee and a waterfall called Klammbachfall, which are both situated around the 6.23-kilometer mark from the start of the trail.

At about 1.6 kilometers into the hike, you will find the Klammbachfall, a beautiful waterfall worth a visit. Further ahead, at the 6.23-kilometer mark, you will reach the Rieserfernerhütte Rif. Vedrette di Ries, an alpine hut where you can rest and enjoy some refreshments. The Gemsbichljoch - Forcella Valfredda is also located at this point, providing a picturesque view of the surrounding landscape.

Throughout the trail, you will come across various amenities such as benches, shelters, and restaurants like the Berger Alm.
