This extremely difficult out-and-back hiking route will take you to the Rieserfernerhütte - Rifugio Vedrette di Ries in the Mühlbach Gais area. The total distance of the trail is 12.454 kilometers, with an elevation gain of 1509 meters, making it a challenging adventure for experienced hikers.

Starting at the trailhead, you'll find a parking area to leave your vehicle before embarking on the journey. As you make your way along the trail, approximately 6.23 kilometers from the start, you'll come across the picturesque Gänsebichlsee, a beautiful alpine lake where you can take a moment to immerse yourself in the tranquility of nature.

Further along the route, at about 1.59 kilometers from the start, you'll encounter the Wasserfallblick viewpoint, offering stunning views of cascading waterfalls in the distance. Continuing on, at approximately 6.21 kilometers from the start, you'll reach the Gemsbichljoch - Forcella Valfredda saddle, providing a perfect vantage point to admire the surrounding mountain scenery.
