This hiking route will take you to the beautiful area of Punta Marsè, offering stunning views and a challenging trek. The route is an out-and-back type, leading you to the peak of Punta Marsè.
The hike is 9.545 kilometers long with an elevation gain of 1200 meters, making it extremely difficult. It is recommended to be well-prepared with proper hiking gear, plenty of water, and snacks. Check the weather forecast before heading out as conditions can change quickly in mountainous terrain.
At the beginning of the trail, you will find a parking area for your convenience. As you make your way along the path, there are drinking water stations at various points to keep you hydrated. Around 1.14 kilometers into the hike, you'll find another drinking water station.
At around 2.06 kilometers, there is a peak called Punta Marsè, where you can enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. Further along the trail, there are additional peaks to explore, offering different vantage points.
Throughout the hike, you will come across historic sites like wayside shrines, adding cultural interest to your adventure. There are also benches along the trail for resting and enjoying the scenery.
Midway through the hike, at around 0.89 kilometers, you'll find another drinking water station to refill your bottles. Towards the end of the trail, there is a spring at 2.01 kilometers for a refreshing break. Also, keep an eye out for an information point about "Scalate a Lithies" around 1.96 kilometers.
As you make your way back along the route, be sure to visit "L'Oca di Lithies," a farm shop at 0.16 kilometers, offering local products. Remember to leave no trace, taking your waste with you and respecting the environment.
