The Hirschkarkogel hiking route is a challenging 8.217-kilometer out-and-back trail with an elevation gain of 847 meters, making it suitable for experienced hikers. The trail will lead you through the beautiful alpine landscape, offering stunning views along the way.

As you start your journey, you will come across the Gusseisenbrunnen fountain, a perfect spot to fill up your water bottle before heading further into the trail. Approximately 1.98 kilometers into the hike, you'll reach the cozy Böckfeldalm alpine hut, where you can take a break and enjoy a traditional meal.

Continuing on, at the 3.55-kilometer mark, you'll find the Zitterauer Hochalm information point, providing insights into the local flora and fauna. Further along, at 4.11 kilometers, you'll reach the Hirschkarkogel peak, offering panoramic views of the surrounding terrain.

On the way back, stop by the Gasthaus Radhausberg restaurant located 0.07 kilometers from the trail, where you can refuel with delicious local cuisine. As you near the end of the hike, take a moment to visit the Pulverturm memorial, located 0.3 kilometers away, to learn about the area's history.
