This hiking route will take you through the stunning Filu de or Barracos area, offering breathtaking views and challenging terrain. With a total distance of 12.358 kilometers and an elevation gain of 424 meters, this hike is classified as extremely difficult and is only suitable for experienced hikers.
Starting at the trailhead, you will come across the first point of interest, a parking area, just 2.188 kilometers from the start. As you continue along the trail, you will reach a shelter at the 2.48 kilometer mark, followed by a drinking water station at 2.61 kilometers to replenish your supplies.
Midway through the hike, at 5.67 kilometers from the start, you will find another shelter called Sa Portiscra. Further along the trail at 6.02 kilometers, there is another shelter named Coile or Mufrones 2. A viewpoint is located at 6.18 kilometers, offering a spectacular panoramic view of the surroundings.
At this point, an information point named or Murales is also located nearby, providing valuable insights into the area. Continuing on, another shelter named Coile or Mufrones 1 can be found at the 6.0 kilometer mark, offering a place to rest and refuel.
For those seeking a challenge, the peaks of Punta Salavarrò (4.17 kilometers), Punta Scala Manna (4.68 kilometers), and Punta de os Mufrones (6.03 kilometers) are located off the main trail, providing a rewarding excursion for those willing to venture off the beaten path.
