Welcome to the hiking route to 老鷲尖! This circular route spans a distance of 3.331 kilometers with an elevation gain of 105 meters, making it an easy hike suitable for all skill levels. The estimated duration for this hike is approximately 1 hour and 2 minutes.
The trail starts at the designated parking area, which is conveniently located at the beginning of the route. As you begin your journey, you will come across 翠湖 (Cuihu) at around 0.66 kilometers from the start, offering a serene spot to enjoy the natural beauty of the area.
Further along the trail at 0.34 kilometers, you will encounter 北港煤礦坑遺址 (Beigang Coal Mine Site) - a historic ruin that adds a touch of cultural significance to the hike. Continuing on, you will reach the summit of 內溝山 (Neigou Mountain) at 0.66 kilometers, although it is slightly off the trail.
At around 0.59 kilometers from the start, a viewpoint offers a picturesque vantage point for a breather before you reach the information point at 1.62 kilometers. This is a great spot to learn more about the natural surroundings and perhaps catch your breath before embarking on the final stretch of the hike.
As you approach the endpoint of the circular trail, you will encounter 老鷲尖 (Laojiao Jian) at 1.64 kilometers, providing a rewarding climax to the hike with its peak and another viewpoint.
