Hüttschlag

Welcome to the hiking route in Hüttschlag, a challenging and extremely difficult 16.793-kilometer out-and-back trail with an elevation gain of 1577 meters. This route will take you approximately 7 hours and 49 minutes to complete, so be prepared for a strenuous adventure.

As you start your hike, you'll come across several points of interest along the way. At the beginning of the trail, you'll find a parking area with no fees, where you can leave your vehicle before embarking on your journey. Further ahead, about 0.05 kilometers from the start, there is a natural water source where you can refresh yourself before continuing.

Continuing on, approximately 1.85 kilometers from the start, you'll reach Poserhöhe, an alpine hut where you can rest and refuel. This hut also houses a restaurant, making it a perfect spot to grab a bite to eat.

As you venture further along the trail, you'll encounter more natural water sources at various points, ranging from 7.71 to 8.4 kilometers from the start. These spots are ideal for filling up your water bottle and taking a moment to enjoy the scenery.

Midway through your hike, at around 5.43 kilometers from the start, you'll reach Kreuzkogel (Döferl), a natural peak that offers stunning panoramic views of the surrounding area. Take some time to appreciate the beauty of the landscape before continuing on your journey.

Throughout the trail, you'll also come across informational points and saddles, providing you with additional insights into the area's history and geology.

Please remember to bring an ample water supply, as well as snacks and proper hiking gear. Additionally, check the weather forecast before setting out, as conditions can change rapidly in the mountains.
