This hiking route takes you through the picturesque area surrounding Vue sur l'Ardoisière et le Vallon. The trail is 4.698 kilometers long with an elevation gain of 148 meters, making it an easy hike suitable for all skill levels. As you start your journey, you will come across the Chapelle Saint-Jean d'Orcun, a charming chapel located just 7.3 meters from the trail. Further along, at the 0.16-kilometer mark, you will find an information point providing insights about the area. As you continue, you will pass by La Roche qui Pleure, a natural spring known for its serene beauty, located 0.73 kilometers from the start of the trail.
Around the midway point of the hike, at 2.0 kilometers, you have the option to take the "Variante par Sarrot Carboué" path, which offers a different perspective of the surroundings. The Sarrot Carboué saddle, located at 2.23 kilometers, provides a great vantage point to admire the landscape. Additionally, you can enjoy views of the Ardoisière and the Vallon at the viewpoint located at 2.35 kilometers.
Towards the end of the trail, at 1.82 kilometers, you will encounter the scenic Cascade de la Route d'Aydius, adding a touch of natural beauty to your hike.
