This extremely difficult 18.046-kilometer circular hiking route will take you through the breathtaking area of Bruncu e S'Abba. Make sure to bring plenty of water and check the weather forecast before embarking on this challenging adventure.
Starting at the parking area located at the trailhead, you will first pass by Cala Sisine and Olobissi - Cala Biriala, where you can gather some information about the area before starting your journey. As you make your way along the trail, you will come across the Grotta del Fico cave entrance at the beginning of the hike, offering a fascinating natural attraction just 1.48 kilometers from the start.
Midway through the hike, at a distance of 2.01 kilometers from the beginning, you will reach the peak of Bruncu D'Urele, providing spectacular panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. Continuing on, you will encounter the shelters of Coile Su Runcu e S'abba at 8.76 kilometers from the start and Ovile Frades Canos at 7.21 kilometers, where you can take a well-deserved rest.
Towards the end of the route, at 8.95 kilometers from the start, you will find the peak of Bruncu e S'Abba, the final destination of this challenging hike. Along the way, you may also spot other peaks like Punta Frades Canos at 7.68 kilometers and Bruncu Piredda at 6.62 kilometers, although they are slightly off the main trail.
Keep in mind that some of the points of interest, such as Grotta d'Urele and Grotta del Fico, may require an additional detour from the main trail. Stay on the designated path and follow any safety guidelines provided to have a fulfilling hiking experience in this rugged terrain.
