This challenging hiking route takes you through the stunning area surrounding Dove Crag.

Starting at the trailhead, you'll soon come across Sykeside Camping Site, a great spot to rest and recharge before continuing on your journey. As you make your way along the trail, you'll pass by a beautiful water feature at the 3.21 kilometer mark, providing a refreshing and scenic break.

Further along the trail, at the 4.23 kilometer mark, you'll reach the impressive peak known as Dove Crag. Take in the breathtaking views and snap some photos to commemorate your achievement.

For those looking for some sustenance after the hike, Brotherswater Inn and Barn End Bar make for great pit stops near the beginning and end of the trail, respectively.

Throughout the hike, be sure to stay hydrated and pack plenty of water, as well as some snacks to keep your energy up. Check the weather forecast before setting out, as conditions can change quickly in the mountains.

With a distance of 8.469 kilometers and an elevation gain of 620 meters, this route is classified as difficult. But for those willing to take on the challenge, the stunning scenery and sense of accomplishment make it all worthwhile.
