This extremely difficult 12.252-kilometer circular hiking route takes you through the stunning area of Tongue Head. The trail begins at the parking area, where you can leave your vehicle before embarking on this challenging adventure.

As you start your journey, you'll come across a lovely cafe just 0.19 kilometers from the trailhead. It's a great spot to grab a quick snack or drink before continuing on. Around 3.7 kilometers into the hike, you'll encounter a breathtaking waterfall, providing a perfect place to take in the natural beauty of the area.

Throughout the hike, you'll pass by several natural water sources, providing opportunities to refill your water supply. Remember to pack enough water for this long and demanding hike, as staying hydrated is crucial. At the midway point, you'll find the Seathwaite Farm Campsite, offering a place to rest and recharge if needed.

As you continue along the trail, you'll be treated to more scenic water features, including waterfalls and picturesque riversides. Take your time to appreciate the tranquility and serenity of the surroundings. Be mindful of the varying terrain and elevation gain of 664 meters, which adds to the challenging nature of this hike.

Before setting out, make sure to check the weather forecast and dress accordingly. Wear sturdy hiking shoes and consider bringing trekking poles for added support on the steep sections.
