This extremely difficult 12.252-kilometer circular hiking route takes you through the stunning area of Tongue Head. The trail begins at the parking area, where you can leave your vehicle before embarking on this challenging adventure.
As you start your journey, you'll come across a lovely cafe just 0.19 kilometers from the trailhead. It's a great spot to grab a quick snack or drink before continuing on. Around 3.7 kilometers into the hike, you'll encounter a breathtaking waterfall, providing a perfect place to take in the natural beauty of the area.
Throughout the hike, you'll pass by several natural water sources, providing opportunities to refill your water supply. Remember to pack enough water for this long and demanding hike, as staying hydrated is crucial. At the midway point, you'll find the Seathwaite Farm Campsite, offering a place to rest and recharge if needed.
