This challenging hiking route takes you to Monte Pietralunga, offering stunning views and a variety of points of interest along the way. The trail spans 9.456 kilometers with an elevation gain of 1112 meters, making it a difficult but rewarding journey.
Starting from the trailhead, you will pass by several points of interest. At the beginning of the hike, you will find Camping Montano Acti Lago, where you can rest and enjoy the surrounding nature. Further along the trail, you will come across Caserma Vallo Alpino, a historic site with ruins located 3.93 kilometers from the start.
As you continue hiking, you will encounter Punta della Battagliola and Colletto della Battagliola, at 3.2 kilometers and 2.82 kilometers from the start, respectively. These peaks offer breathtaking panoramic views of the area.
Towards the end of the trail, at 4.73 kilometers from the start, you will reach the highlight of the hike, Monte Pietralunga. This peak provides a stunning vantage point and a great spot to take a break before heading back.
