Along the route, you'll pass by Bar Monviso, La Buca di Bacco, and Ristorante Pizzeria Quetzal, where you can stop for a meal or a refreshing drink. Remember to pack plenty of water and snacks for the trek, as it can be demanding.
As you continue on, you'll encounter a beautiful picnic site at a distance of 0.13 kilometers from the start, ideal for taking a break and enjoying the stunning scenery. Make sure to refill your water bottles at the drinking water stations located at various points along the trail.
Further ahead, at 3.2 kilometers from the start, you'll find Punta della Battagliola, offering spectacular panoramic views of the surrounding area. Keep pushing forward until you reach Monte Pietralunga, the destination of this hike, located 4.73 kilometers from the starting point.
On your way back, make a stop at Passo del Ciat, a saddle point at 4.45 kilometers from the start, before heading back to the trailhead. Be mindful of your energy levels and pace yourself accordingly, as the return journey can be just as strenuous.
