This extremely difficult out-and-back hiking route will take you to the majestic Torkopf peak in a stunning alpine setting. The trail spans a total distance of 21.939 kilometers and features an elevation gain of 1687 meters.
As you begin your journey, you will pass by the picturesque Pichl Alm alpine hut, located just 0.02 kilometers from the starting point. Along the way, you will encounter several points of interest including refreshing water sources and cozy fast-food spots like the Mußbachalm.
Midway through your hike, you will reach the Niedere Torscharte saddle at a distance of 10.79 kilometers from the start. From there, you can continue on to the Hohe Torscharte saddle and ultimately summit the Torkopf peak, located 10.97 kilometers from the start.
