Veliki Rakovnik

Welcome to the hiking route to Veliki Rakovnik! This super easy trail spans 0.88 kilometers with an elevation gain of 33 meters, making it perfect for hikers of all levels. The duration of the hike is approximately 17 minutes and 10 seconds.

Starting at the trailhead, you will first encounter some amazing attractions like the Živalski vrt (zoo) just 0.06 kilometers from the beginning of the trail. Further along, at 0.02 kilometers, you will come across the azijski slon (Asian elephant) and the dvogrba kamela (Bactrian camel), amongst other attractions.

As you continue on the trail, you'll find the vivarij (vivarium) and various animal sightings like the rdečevrati kenguru (red-necked wallaby), emu, and črni labod (black swan). Midway through your hike, at 0.06 kilometers, you can explore more animals such as the sibirski tiger (Siberian tiger) and the leopard.

Towards the end of the trail at 0.44 kilometers, you'll reach the peak of Veliki Rakovnik, offering stunning panoramic views of the surrounding area.
