Hiking : Cabane de la Montagne de Lau - Sentier des Rochers du Parquet

This challenging out-and-back hiking route will take you to Cabane de la Montagne de Lau via the Sentier des Rochers du Parquet in a beautiful natural area. The trail covers a distance of 10.72 kilometers with an elevation gain of 778 meters, so be prepared for a moderate to difficult hike.

Starting at the trailhead, you will pass by various points of interest along the way. About 1.96 kilometers from the start, you will reach Col de l'Aupet, a natural saddle offering stunning views of the surrounding landscape. As you continue on, at around the 5.36 kilometer mark, you will come across a water source and the Cabane de la Montagne de Lau, a shelter where you can rest and enjoy the scenery. This non-guarded shelter is a great spot to take a break before heading back.

Along the trail, you will also encounter parking areas, information points such as Sous la Selle and Les Serres, and the peak of Montagne de l'Aupet, approximately 2.11 kilometers from the start. These points provide opportunities to learn more about the area's natural features and history.
