This hiking route in the area of Niederer Mahdstein is an extremely difficult 12.379-kilometer circular trail with an elevation gain of 829 meters, taking approximately 4 hours and 56 minutes to complete.

The trail starts at a convenient parking area, located right at the beginning of the route. As you begin your journey, you will pass by a beautiful water feature about 2.79 kilometers from the starting point. It's a great spot to take a break and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.

Midway through the hike, you will come across a scenic saddle known as Windroaf, located about 5.5 kilometers from the start of the trail. While it's not directly on the trail, you can take a short detour to appreciate the stunning views from this point.

One of the highlights of the hike is reaching the peak of Niederer Mahdstein, situated 6.13 kilometers from the start. This natural peak offers breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding landscape, making the challenging trek well worth it.
