This extremely difficult out-and-back hiking route will take you to the stunning Grieskogl peak in the beautiful area of Sonnenkopf. The trail covers a distance of 15.704 kilometers with an elevation gain of 1150 meters, making it a challenging adventure for experienced hikers.

Starting at the Bauernhof Stanahof parking area, you will begin your journey towards Grieskogl. Along the way, you will come across several points of interest. Approximately 6.85 kilometers into the hike, you will find a water source that can be a great spot to refill your water supply.

As you continue on the trail, at around 1.92 kilometers in, you will reach Sonnenkopf viewpoint, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. At 4.68 kilometers, there is information point where you can learn more about the area and its history.
