Welcome to this extremely difficult hiking route that will take you on a challenging trek through the beautiful area surrounding Cabane d'Orny. With a total distance of 13.601 kilometers and an elevation gain of 1337.0 meters, this hike is not for the faint of heart.
Starting at a parking area just 0.01 kilometers from the trail, you will begin your journey towards Cabane d'Orny. Along the way, you will pass by Champex, a picturesque town located 0.1 kilometers from the trail, where you can find some useful information about the area.
As you continue on, make sure to stop by Lac d'Orny, a stunning water body located 6.26 kilometers from the start of the trail. This is a great spot to take a break and enjoy the tranquil surroundings.
Further along the trail, you will come across Revers d'Arpette, an informational point 2.65 kilometers from the start, where you can learn more about the area's history and geography.
At the halfway point of the hike, you will reach Col de Champex, a natural saddle located just 0.07 kilometers from the trail. This is a great spot to take in the breathtaking views and rest before continuing on.
Finally, you will arrive at Cabane d'Orny, an alpine hut located 6.8 kilometers from the start of the trail. Here, you can relax and enjoy some well-deserved rest before making your way back along the same route.
