This extremely difficult 12.67-kilometer out-and-back hiking route leads to the stunning Lac d'Orny in a picturesque area.

You will start at a parking area and information point at the beginning of the trail. As you hike, you will pass by Champex, a charming village with another information point. Along the way, you will also encounter a wayside shrine, several benches, and a saddle called Col de Champex.

One of the highlights of the hike is the beautiful Lac d'Orny, located approximately 6.34 kilometers from the start of the trail. This serene alpine lake offers a perfect spot to rest and enjoy the stunning natural surroundings.

The trail is challenging, with a significant elevation gain of 1218 meters. It is recommended to bring plenty of water, snacks, and to check the weather forecast before embarking on this adventure.

You may also come across water sources along the way, but it's always wise to carry enough water with you. Additionally, there are camping sites nearby, such as Roccailles campsite, in case you plan to extend your stay in the area.
