This hiking route takes you through the beautiful area of Piste du Ravin de l’Ubac de l’Escale. The trail is an out-and-back route with a total distance of 5.884 kilometers and an elevation gain of 108 meters, making it a moderate level hike.
As you start your journey, you will come across the Col Belle Barbe, a natural saddle located just 0.01 kilometers from the beginning of the trail. Moving forward, you will find Col de Belle Barbe parking area at the start of the trail, perfect for parking your vehicle before embarking on the hike.
As you continue along the trail, you will encounter several water sources, such as springs and natural water spots. These include water points located at various distances from the trail, ranging from 2.41 to 2.94 kilometers from the starting point. Make sure to stay hydrated and refill your water supply at these stops.
Midway through the hike, you will reach Col Aubert, another natural saddle with stunning views. Additionally, there are memorials along the way, adding a touch of historic significance to your trek. These memorials are situated at various points along the trail, with the closest one just 0.06 kilometers from the start.
Towards the end of the hike, you will find Pic du Baladou, a natural peak located 0.64 kilometers from the starting point, although it is slightly off the main trail. This peak offers panoramic views and is a great spot for a break before heading back.
