This extremely difficult 13.225 kilometer out-and-back hiking route will take you to the beautiful Monte Rusiana area. The trail has an elevation gain of 846 meters and is expected to take around 5 hours and 10 minutes to complete.

As you start your journey, you will come across a parking area at the beginning of the trail. It is advised to park your vehicle here and start your hike towards Monte Rusiana. Approximately 3.87 kilometers into the hike, you will pass by a stunning rock formation that is slightly off the trail.

Midway through the route, around the 6.53 kilometer mark, you will encounter a viewpoint where you can take a break and enjoy the breathtaking scenery. Continuing on, at 6.61 kilometers, you will reach the peak of Monte Rusiana, offering panoramic views of the surrounding area.

As you make your way back, approximately 5.15 kilometers from the start, you will reach another viewpoint called Piaza Foleto, perfect for capturing some memorable photos. Lastly, at around 6.54 kilometers from the start, you will pass by a historic wayside cross adding a cultural element to your hiking experience.

Due to the length and elevation gain of this hike, it is important to come prepared with plenty of water, snacks, and sturdy hiking shoes. Additionally, checking the weather forecast before embarking on this challenging journey is highly recommended.
