This challenging 10.33-kilometer circular hiking route will lead you through the beautiful area around la Melera. The trail starts at a parking area and soon after, you will find a drinking water spot about 1.32 kilometers from the beginning.

As you continue on the trail, at around 4.49 kilometers, you will come across the ruins of barraca de pedra seca 14273, offering a glimpse into the area's historic past. Further ahead, at the 4.93-kilometer mark, you will find more ancient ruins at barraca de pedra seca 21623.

Midway through the hike, at approximately 5 kilometers, you will reach the peak known as la Melera, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding natural landscape. The elevation gain of 244 meters adds to the challenge of the hike, so be sure to come prepared with plenty of water and snacks.

Before embarking on this journey, remember to check the weather forecast and ensure you have the appropriate gear for a difficult hike of around 3 hours.
